Full Professor of Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. Attorney admitted to practice before the higher courts, registered with the Milan Bar Association since 1995.
He graduated in Law on April 29, 1992, from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan with honors, defending a thesis in Administrative Law under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Pastori.
Since January 1, 2006, he has been a Full Professor (initially as Associate Professor and then as Full Professor) of Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Insubria.
Since November 1, 2012, he has been a Full Professor of Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
Mauro Renna contributes to numerous prestigious journals and series in Administrative Law, also serving as a referee.
In 2008, he co-founded the "Italian Journal of Public Law" with fellow administrative and constitutional law scholars.
From 2010 to 2014, he served as Editor of the "Rivista Quadrimestrale di Diritto dell’ambiente," published by Giappichelli.
In 2016, he co-founded the scientific series "Il diritto amministrativo: variazioni," published by Giappichelli, with colleagues Giacinto della Cananea, Daria de Pretis, Marco Dugato, and Aristide Police, and has taken on the role of co-editor.
He is also a member of the Scientific and Advisory Committee of the Administrative Regulation Observatory at the CERDIS Research Center of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, and of the Scientific Committee of the Observatory on Public Contracts and Sustainability at the GREEN Research Center of the Università Commerciale “Luigi Bocconi” in Milan.
Since 2013, he has been Director of the Center for Juridical and Institutional Research on Civil, Environmental, and Social Rights (CERDIS) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
Since 2014, he has been a member of the Doctoral School of Person and Legal Systems, established at the Faculty of Law of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
Since 2016, he has been a member of the Board and Teaching Committee of the Advanced Training Course in Anti-Corruption and Public Contracts (ACoP) at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
From 2019 to 2021, he was a member of the Anti-Mafia Committee of the Municipality of Milan.

He is a contract lecturer at the University of Genoa, Department of Civil, Chemical, and Environmental Engineering (DICCA), teaching the course 'EU and Transnational Environmental Law,' and at the University of Turin – Department of Economics and Statistics 'Cognetti De Martis,' for the 'Energy Law' Laboratory.
Claudio Vivani has been practicing professionally since 1995, developing specific expertise in administrative law, both judicial and extrajudicial, with particular focus on environmental law, energy law, land use governance, construction and urban planning, public contracts and services, and administrative litigation.
His main activities involve providing assistance and consulting regarding authorization procedures and environmental assessments for project realization and the conduct of industrial and energy activities (renewable energy production, biomethane and biofuels, traditional energy generation, oil gas), circular economy, contaminated site management, and emission trading systems. He has extensive experience in these fields working with national and multinational companies. He also provides assistance and consulting concerning public procurement and in-house providing.
